We are dedicated to making the ADHD journey easy to understand, informative, and empowering for families.
We are currently open and accepting new referrals for the diagnosis and management of ADHD in children aged 6-16 (inclusive). Our current waitlist is around 15 months, as of November 14, 2024.
At InformADHD Children's Clinic, we pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive assessments for paediatric ADHD. Usually, this assessment takes around 3 appointments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each child's unique strengths and challenges.
First appointments (50 mins) are $500. A Medicare rebate ranging from $140 to $250 is applicable with a referral, which means your out-of-pocket costs are between $250 to $360.
Follow-up appointments (25 mins) are $250. A Medicare rebate of $70 to $117 is applicable, which means your out-of-pocket costs are between $133 to $180.
With our online card payment system, appointments are automatically charged, and rebates can be processed online.

InformADHD Children's Clinic specialises in assessing and managing ADHD in children aged 6-16 years inclusive. Due to limited capacity and our specific focus on ADHD, we regretfully cannot accept referrals or provide care for general paediatric, medical, or neurodevelopmental (such as ASD) concerns other than ADHD.
At InformADHD Children's Clinic, we take pride in our strengths-based approach to paediatric ADHD care. What sets us apart is our dedication to delivering engaging and easily understandable resources and online education for families. We believe in making the journey of understanding and managing a child's ADHD not only informative but also enjoyable, helping families feel empowered and supported every step of the way.
Informed ADHD care from referral to stabilisation
See your GP for a referral. The referral can be uploaded online, faxed or posted to us.
Upon receiving your referral, we'll review it to check eligibility. We'll then contact you to complete an intake form and schedule your appointment.
Your first appointment will be about 60 minutes long. We'll discuss your child's history, do an examination, and ask for more information from you and their teachers. Sometimes, we may need specialised investigations or assessments, such as with an educational psychologist, for detailed testing. This helps rule out other issues like specific learning problems or other mental health concerns that can seem like ADHD. It also helps us understand your child's strengths better.
For children diagnosed with ADHD, we create a bespoke management plan. This plan covers different aspects of ADHD management and may include strategies, programs, medications, referrals to other therapists, and alternative therapies, all presented in an easy-to-understand format.
Next, we fine-tune the treatment to evaluate how well the management plan is working and keep a close eye on any potential side effects from prescribed medications. Our aim is to decrease ADHD symptoms over time, with minimal or no side effects, aiming for a notable improvement in the child's socialising, academic functioning or overall well-being.
After the treatment stabilises, we conduct reviews every six months for continuous management (or less often if your would like your GP to co-prescribe). These check-ups involve screening for any associated difficulties or emerging problems, ensuring a thorough and proactive approach to the ongoing well-being of the child.
